Topic: Solar in Your Community

  • Solar is the fastest growing form of energy in the world. As we see adoption in IL, there are a lot of pieces to how it is designed, installed and incentivized. The presentation will cover the basics of residential solar energy systems as well as the installation process, current state and federal financial incentives, and how to get started.

CEUs: No certificate will be issued, however see below to still capitalize on ICC CEUs.

  • ICC allows Non-ICC or Non-ICC Preferred Provider Participation as a student for an onsite technical session for the remaining 50% CEUs required for renewing your certification(s). Click here for details.

  • Lisa Albrecht is a board member for the ISEA, serving from 2007-2010 and then from 2012 to present. She also consults with ISEA and is collaborating with communities on SolarAPP+, an online permitting platform written in collaboration with UL, NREL and code entities. She worked at Solar Service for 12 years and in 2018 opened All Bright Solar, a design/installation company primarily focused on residential and small commercial projects in the Chicago area.
